Another milestone: Stem Cell Investigation is indexed in PubMed/PMC
On April 25, 2016, an expected and exciting news from the PubMed Central was emailed to the Editorial Office: the Stem Cell Investigation (SCI) has passed all the evaluation required by PubMed Central (PMC) and is officially accepted for inclusion in PubMed/PMC—an extensive and important biomedical online journal repository! Successful coverage in the prestigious PubMed database not only means the recognition of SCI by international peers, but, more importantly, is another milestone for SCI to move towards the master publication list of SCI-indexed journals.
All previously published content on SCI will be searchable within 1–2 months. Consequently, authors publishing in SCI will enjoy maximum exposure of their research. The inclusion in this prominent database convincingly demonstrates the high quality of the published work and the journal’s significant potential. Thus, SCI would like to express our sincere appreciation for the enthusiastic and vigorous support and contributions from all board members, reviewers, authors, and readers.
Launched in February 2014, Stem Cell Investigation (SCI; ISSN 2306-9759) is a free access, peer-reviewed online journal covering basic, translational, and clinical research on all aspects of stem cells. Most of its articles are original research articles and reviews on embryonic stem cells, induced pluripotent stem cells, adult tissue-specific stem/progenitor cells, cancer stem like cells, stem cell niche, stem cell technology, stem cell based drug discovery, and regenerative medicine (Figure 1).
Another distinguished features of SCI lies on its fast-track publication—all articles could go online quickly once accepted in SCI without delay in fitting the publication frequency, thus keeping the newest finding and researches on stem cell online.
